Toronto Avionics was established in 1979 to serve the avionics needs of a small group of local aircraft owners.
Many were IFR pilots and were distrusting of ground based avionics technicians.
"I glued the fritles and twisted the hiltrestle, should be good for awhile,
let me know when it fails again and I'll try something else" was just not good enough!
Founder Richard LeBlanc, was a commercial multi-engine endorsed IFR pilot and technician as well.
With extensive technical experience in the broadcasting industry, he was well qualified in his new endeavor.
Prior to 1979, he had engineered a complex helicopter shoot for a CBC drama
entitled "Aberfan" This show was to latter win the prestigious Anik award.
He was also instrumental in the design and construction of the first practical
underwater ENG camera used by the CBC on numerous productions and Olympic shows.
But times have changed and so have we.
With A DOT approval in 1980, the company has grown to a reputable
and formidable force in the avionics industry.
Toronto Avionics now serves customers all over North America.
We represent all major avionics manufacturers. We service what we sell,
service what others sell and install major retrofit packages
that are guaranteed for as long as you own your aircraft.
We are a successful business because we have managed to blend quality,
economy and customer support into a package that our customers like.
In addition, we have one of the best and most experienced staffs in the country.
When it comes to installations, Experience Counts!
Toronto Avionics uses a highly skilled group of engineers and installation technicians,
several of whom have twenty plus years of installation experience.
We are a major in-house repair and overhaul facility with an extensive capabilities list.
During repairs or overhaul, each piece of equipment is precisely calibrated
and thoroughly tested to meet the manufacturer's specifications.
We perform environmental tests (hot, cold, and vibration),
as are applicable to the equipment under final tests.
This is to ensure that performance and reliability standards are met,
and the equipment will function reliably under actual aircraft operating conditions.
Toronto Avionics has a very high repeat customer business and we get referrals
as a result of our satisfied customers every day.
Experience, reliability, quality, and economy. Toronto Avionics Ltd excels in all of these areas.
Give us a try. You won't be disappointed.
